Verse

God, may I pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. May I stay alert and be persistent in my prayers for all believers everywhere and for Refuge for Women Chicago.

From Ephesians 6:18

Devotional

As followers of and believers in Jesus Christ as our Savior, the love of God has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.  No longer spiritually dead, we are alive in Christ! By grace, at our new birth, the Holy Spirit came to dwell permanently within our hearts! We could sit and ponder that profound mystery and truth forever.  Amazing!

Another amazing truth that is mind blowing is that Almighty God invites us, commands us really, to be a part of what He is doing in the world through the power of prayer.  God is pleased to work through our prayers to bring about His plans. I don't want to miss a single opportunity God has for me to be part of the glorious work He is accomplishing.  Lord lead me in prayer!

Your prayers offered today for Refuge for Women Chicago matter in eternity!  God will use them to bless, to change, to heal, to give hope, to uphold, to open hearts, and be a part of all God is doing.  So please, take a moment to quiet yourself, acknowledge God's presence with you, and ask Him to speak to your heart and help you pray in the Spirit for RFW-C.  Then quietly listen for His Spirit within you to speak to your heart how to pray. Remember to thank the Holy Spirit who graciously helps us in our weakness in prayer when we do not know what we ought to pray, He intercedes on our behalf according to the will of God.

Stop, be quiet before God. Ask for God's help, Listen for His leading. Then Pray with the sweet knowing that He is using your prayers to bring about Kingdom work!

It is so encouraging to our residents, staff and volunteers to know you are praying for us.  Thank you so much for your sacrifice of prayer. May God the Father richly bless each of you who prays for RFW-C this month in unexpected ways.

Grace and peace and love you each of you.

Prayer is the backbone of this ministry.
