30 Days of Prayer

Help us cover our spring event in prayer!

For 30 days leading up to our event (March 7th to April 7th) we will pray a scripture based prayer.  We invite you to join us!

 

March 7

LORD you know we have many hopes for our April event.  We surrender them to you and pray that they are in full alignment for what you have planned for the day.  We trust you in this, because “all your plans are wonderful and your wisdom is magnificent.” Isa 28:29

March 8

Those who know Your name trust in You, for You LORD, have never forsaken those who seek You.  Psalm 9:10   Father God, RFW-C trusts in You to supply all our needs for the coming year of providing shelter, discovery, healing and renewal for our residents.  You promise never to forsake us.  Father, supply abundantly for all our needs, monetarily, emotionally and spiritually.  Amen.

March 9

God Almighty, we desire that this event will bring glory to your name for “your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.”  Let everyone plan and serve with their eyes on you. Isaiah 26:8 b

March 10

LORD God, you tell us that “When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous, but terror to evildoers.”  Prov 21:15  We pray that you will use this event bring joy all who seek the end of human trafficking.

March 11

To You who are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to Your power that is at work within us  Ephesians 3:20 ; we pray that we would receive a great quantity as well as quality of items for our silent auction. Father God, we ask for Your favor on our auction team as they ask for donations. Prepare these businesses to respond favorably to our requests.

March 12

For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:10   Amazing Father God, we pray You will supply sponsors and those providing auction donations for our event to do the good work You prepared in advance of supporting RFW-C’s healing work in 2018

March 13

Thank you Lord for every person who has registered, every auction item donor and every sponsor.  May they know the truth of this verse.  “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.  Luke 6:38

March 14

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.  To Him be glory forever! Amen Romans 11:36  Father, all we do at RFW-C is for Your glory. Please equip and bless our staff and volunteers, please prepare the hearts of our future residents and encourage the hearts of our current residents and graduates, all to Your glory!  Amen.

March 15

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever.  Psalm 118:1  Lord we take a moment to praise you and thank you for who you are and to acknowledge our dependence on you.

March 16

Thank you Lord for every person who is working to make our event a blessing to all.  May they “Shout aloud and sing for joy” as they serve, knowing that “great is the Holy One of Israel among them”  Isaiah 12:6

March 17

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.  Proverbs 11:25  Father, call forth Your generous to refresh others by donating to RFW-C and may they continue to prosper as they honor You with what You have blessed them with.

March 18

You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.  2 Corinthians 9:11  Father, arouse those You want to enrich in response to their generosity towards RFW-C.  We will gladly thank and praise You for Your provision through them.

March 19

Thank you God for the gift of technology at the Q Center.  This will help us tell your story through Refuge better…please keep everything running smoothly.  Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows.  James 1:17

March 20

Father, everyone who serves at Refuge, whether it be in the house or for this event, is in the devil’s cross hairs.  Thank you that you will keep us from all harm— that you will watch over our lives; that you, LORD, will watch over our coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalm 127:7-8

March 21

My God shall supply your every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus  Philippians 4:19  Abundant Father, we thank You in advance for supplying for our every RFW-C need from hiring staff, equipping staff, giving residents capacity to do the work of healing and supplying for all our financial needs for 2018

March 22

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.  Proverbs 19:17  Father, please call 100+ to attend our event with a heart to lend to You as they give to support RFW-C. 

March 23

Lord You promise that Your grace is sufficient for us and that Your power is made perfect in our weakness.  2 Corinthians 12:9  Lord, we confess our weakness and we declare that we trust wholly in Your provision and how you will work through our event.

March 24

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness gentleness and self control.  Galatians 5:22  Holy Spirit, we invite you to make yourself known in this way during the evening April 7.

March 25 

LORD, we praise You that You give strength to the weary and strengthen the powerless.  Isaiah 40:29    Please grant us Your strength and power to persevere in prayer for this event and the women who seek your healing.

March 26

I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. Job 42:2 Thank you LORD for this reminder that you are sovereign over everything.

March 27

Lord, you "heal the broken hearted and bind up their wounds"  Psalm 147:3  Would you please prosper our Welcome Home event so that RF W Chicago can be your instrument of healing to broken hearted, exploited and trafficked women" 

March 28

The Lord redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies  Psalm 103:4  Father, we bless You for redeeming our lives from the pit through Jesus and redeeming our daily pits through Jesus’ power.  Father please crown RFW-C’s Spring Event with Your lovingkindness and tender mercies and we will surely bless Your Name.

March 29

Father, You are the Rock, Your works are perfect, and all Your ways are just. You are a faithful God who does no wrong, You are upright and just .  Deut. 32:4  Father, because of Who You are, we confidently cry out to You to supply all that RFW-C needs in 2018 to bless our beloved residents in Your name.

March 30

Jesus, You are gentle and humble of heart and You invite us to come to You so that You may give us rest.  Matt 11:28-29  Please let those who have worked so hard on this event, rest in you in the final stretch.  Please help the residents in our home to acknowledge their weariness and rest in you always.

March 31

April 1

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.  Colossians 2:17  Father, we are grateful for all the many blessings You have lavished on RFW so far.  We commit our Welcome Home event to be done in the name of the Lord Jesus and give thanks to how You will move in our midst.  Let all who speak, sing, serve, play music or tell their stories, do it all unto you.

April 2

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.  Psalm 32:7  Oh Father, we pray for those women You will bring us in 2018 that they might find a safe refuge and learn to sing songs of Your deliverance from brokenness to wholeness.

April 3

Father, we thank you for our graduate being willing to share at our event.  Please give her Your strength and mighty power as she shares her testimony at our Spring Event.  Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.  Ephesians 6:10   

April 4

Dear Father, You are not a God of disorder, but of peace.  1 Cor 14:33  We ask you to remove any confusion or stress from all those who are working on the event.  May their service be done in peace.

April 5

Lord, we ask that you would keep all involved in the event healthy and that every soul that attends would prosper in all respects. 3John2

April 6

Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples.  1 Chronicles 16:8  Father in heaven, prepare our graduate’s heart to share at our event and make known Your deeds among the peoples.

April 7

Father God, the picture of you tending a vineyard (your people) is beautiful.  May you guard and care for our Refuge house in the same way as we commit this event to your tending.

“I, the Lord, watch over it;
    I water it continually.
I guard it day and night
    so that no one may harm it.”   Isaiah 27:3
