Help us cover our Spring Event in Prayer!
For 30 days leading up to our event
(April 6th to May 6th)
we will pray a Scripture based prayer. Join us!
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
Lord, we are devoting these next 30 days before our Refuge event to prayer.
Open our eyes and hearts to you will in the midst.
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us,
to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Dear Heavenly Father, We lift up our May 6th event to you.
We know you are capable of more than we can even imagine.
We pray that you will bless this event as well as the women it will serve.
In Jesus name. Amen.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, she is a new creation; the old things passed away;
behold, new things have come.
Lord Jesus, this verse speaks of the freedom you give us in our new beginnings.
We pray for our Refuge home to be a place where our residents will find Freedom,
and begin living their new story. Please use this event to sustain our Refuge ministry.
1 John 3:1a
See how great a love the Father has lavished on us,
that we would be called children of God.
Father, thank you for Your great love that You lavish on us in Christ Jesus.
Bless RFW-C to continue to pour out Your love to every resident You bring us.
1 Peter 1:6
Be truly glad there is wonderful joy ahead.
Heavenly Father we thank you for the joy that is ahead of us.
We thank you for the joy this event will bring to those that serve as well as attend.
We also thank you for the joy that is ahead for the ladies who receive your love
through Refuge for Women. In your sons precious name we pray. Amen.
The Lord appeared from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.
Lord we pray that you will appear to women in need so that they know
they are loved with Your everlasting love. Please draw who you will to RFW-C and
may they experience Your everlasting love while there.
Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows.
Thank you Father for all your good gifts to Refuge…the house, the staff, the residents,
the volunteers, the team who is leading this event. Continue to develop a grateful heart
in all of us so that we never grow tired of praising You.
2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Lord thank You for Your promise of freedom where Your Spirit dwells.
May our residents and staff live in that freedom from shame and condemnation.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Lord, You understand perfectly all the difficulties and traumas our residents are carrying with them when they arrive, may they each come to know Your strength for their hearts and may You truly be their portion forever.
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Lord Jesus, thank You that Your peace is our gift, purchased at great cost. May each woman who comes through our doors, both as residents and as laborers in Your love know Your perfect peace.
Galatians 6: 9-10
So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone- especially to those in the family of faith.
Dear Lord, Let our eyes be fully focused on God. When we feel discouraged let us remember who has led us here, who is in charge. As our eyes are turned to God, All we do will be blessed and have purpose. In Jesus name. Amen.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Father, make this promise experientially real for each precious woman You bring to Refuge for Women - Chicago. Provide for our entire operating budget Lord so that need will no longer be a concern and we can be about the work of binding up wounds in Your name.
He sent out His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
We rejoice in You Lord God that Your word brings healing! We ask for that supernatural healing from Your living word for each of our residents at RRW-C. Lord deliver many from lives of destruction and instead bring freedom.
Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You
when my heart is faint;
Lord remind us always that You are ready to hear our prayers, especially when our hearts are faint. Lord strengthen all the volunteers and staff at our Refuge home. Fill them to overflowing with Your love that they may in turn pour Your love out on in abundance to our residents.
Psalm 61: 2b-3
Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me,
A tower of strength against the enemy.
Father God, lead all our residents to the Rock that is Jesus. Be our strong tower of Refuge against an enemy who hates us to dwell in Your freedom. Lord provide in abundant ways for our Refuge home at our Spring Event.
My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.
Lord, waiting in silence demonstrates our complete trust in You our God. Our hope is indeed in You and You alone. Lord! You know all RFW-C needs, please supply them in Your abundance.
Shout joyfully to God, all the earth; Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious. Say to God, “How awesome are Your works!
Oh Lord, may we Your people shout joyfully to You today and make our praise of You glorious! Lord all Your works are awesome. We praise you for the awesome work of opening our doors and bringing us residents. We ask now for You to bring all we need for another year of ministry.
God be gracious to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us.
Lord we would like 100 recurring monthly giving partners. Please stir in the hearts of those attending our spring event to be supporters of freedom and new beginnings at RFW-C.
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation.
Lord thank You that we do not have to bear our burdens on our own. Lord we lay our
financial burdens for another year of ministering to women in Your name at RFW-C before
Your throne of grace.
You have taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book?
Lord, You are so tender. You have seen the wanderings of each of our residents and collected their tears in Your bottle because they matter to You. Please bring healing for each precious woman You bring our way and provide for RFW-C financially and spiritually to be able to tend to all their needs.
2 Thess: 1:11-12
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
LORD we pray that you will fill our event ideas and acts of faith with your power. We ask that you bring our prayers for a God honoring event and financial provision to fruition, in Jesus Name Amen.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And then the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will
guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Father, Son, Holy Spirit, we name our all our worries about this event
on this moment and turn all of them over to you. We invite your peace
to fill our hearts as we trust you for the final details of pulling this together.
2 Thess: 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
Heavenly Father, we ask you to protect all those who are working to put this event together. Keep them safe from the schemes of the devil who would want to derail or distract them from this important work.
I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.
Father God, thank you for giving us our very own Refuge House and for settling your precious women there. We know it all comes from You. We ask you to pour out your blessings and favor upon Refuge for Women so that we may serve hundreds upon hundreds of women in the future - all to Your glory!
Be at rest once more o my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.
Lord may we all honor Sabbath today and rest from the work of ministry.
Sabbath was made for man as a gift…thank you.
God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.
We acknowledge you God that you reign over all and we are grateful that you reign
over our May 6 event.
1 Thess 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Lord, in this final week before the event, let us not give in to stress and let us all give encouragement to one another.
Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to Your Word.
LORD, help us to set our minds on heavenly treasure rather than an earthly one. We pray for generosity to abound leading up to our fundraising event; for churches, businesses and individuals to invest in RFW by becoming event sponsors. We give you all the praise and glory for your amazing provision.
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed and miracles that cannot be counted.
Lord, know you are a miracle working God and we ask you to perform miracles on behalf of Refuge for Women through this event…whatever miracles you deem appropriated to bring glory to Yourself.
Holy Spirit, thank you that you intercede for us.
You know what is left to be prayed for and we trust in you.
This is the day the Lord has made,
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
